Midfielders

Thomas Partey (DM) - 6.5/10 - Did his job well but took risks at times when on the ball. Played a brilliant pass over the top of the Brighton defence to Kai Havertz late in the second half.

Declan Rice (CM) - 6/10 - Another poor game by his own standards as he continued his slow start to the season. Played 100% of his passes accurately and won two duels but was sent off for a harsh second yellow card offence just after half-time.

Martin Odegaard (CM) - 6/10 - Struggled to put passes together and create passes for his teammates. Unusually poor game from Arsenal's captain. Substituted for Gabriel Martinelli with just over 15 minutes remaining.
