- Gunners to return home for two more friendlies before start of 2024/25 season
Midfielders
Thomas Partey (DM) - 5.5/10 - Like Zinchenko, Partey had his moments in possession but he was positionally erratic in Philadelphia and failed to offer the requisite support at the base of midfield. There was an improvement in the second half as Arsenal asserted more control.
Martin Odegaard (CM) - 7/10 - Lovely weight of pass to create Arsenal's best chance before Havertz halved the deficit just before half-time. Odegaard was going for goal, but Havertz's conversion means he'll get the assist. Threaded the needle wonderfully in the second period.
Kai Havertz (CM) - 7.5/10 - Took a while to get into the contest, but did get on the scoresheet and work impressively hard to deny Elliott at the other end minutes later. Movement was superb throughout.
