Bukayo Saka (RW) - 7.5/10 - Saka knew from Brighton's team news that he will have room to run onto. His marker on the day was 37-year-old James Milner and he was constantly beating the veteran. Like Odegaard, I think he should have been in the scoresheet but compensated not scoring with a great corner that Jesus scored from.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) - 7.5/10 - The Brazilian had Brighton fullbacks on a string. He was constantly running at Joel Veltman until the Brighton man had enough and was substituted in the 34th minute with an injury. His replacement, Jack Hinshelwood also had a difficult day against Martinelli. He looks sharp and getting back to his best.

Gabriel Jesus (CF) - 8.5/10 - Scored the breakthrough goal for Arsenal in the 53rd minute and was all action as always. He was dropping very deep to receive passes from Raya to begin the attack and was present in the box to score the most important goal of the game. He was a handful for Brighton defenders and did his job before leaving the pitch.

Substitutes

Eddie Nketiah - 6/10 - Came on in the 80th minute in place of Jesus to give an assist for Havertz's goal in the 87th minute.

  • Leandro Trossard - 5/10
