Fringe players fail to grab chance
Aside from Smith Rowe, all others that Arteta brought into the lineup did little to warrant more game time going forward.
We touched on Zinchenko's difficulties, but Reiss Nelson, Thomas Partey and Leandro Trossard all struggled to make a real impact on the game.
While Partey's quality in possession is still of the highest order, he looked sloppy at times, something we have become accustomed to of late.
While it might seem harsh to judge players who rarely get starts on this one outing, with where Arsenal is in terms of their development under Arteta, these fringe players need to be producing more.
