Arsenal's 2024/25 pre-season schedule

A crucial summer beckons for Arsenal as they attempt to go one step further in 2024/25. The Gunners closed the gap further on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, but once again couldn't get over the line.

The club's summer preparations have played crucial roles in their two recent successful domestic campaigns, although the presence of two major international tournaments could complicate things this time around with changes being made to the club's plans.

Arsenal have several players competing at Euro 2024 and the Copa America.

Those not competing for their countries have been welcomed back to London Colney before the official start of pre-season, and here's what the club has planned this summer ahead of a project-defining 2024/25 campaign.

Arsenal 2024 pre-season tour plans

With the Euros and Copa America both concluding in mid-July, Arteta should have a full squad available for the start of the pre-season tour. For the third successive summer, Arsenal are visiting the USA.

The Gunners are currently booked in to face Premier League rivals Bournemouth, Manchester United and Liverpool. They'll face United, whom they lost to in the States last summer, on 27 July in Los Angeles before facing Arne Slot's Reds four days later on the other side of the country in Philadelphia. Their tour kicks off against the Cherries on 24 July.

“Our plans for pre-season are taking great shape," sporting director Edu said earlier this year. "Playing against two strong teams in great stadiums in front of so many of our supporters will provide Mikel and the squad with a strong test and great experience ahead of the new season."

While they were beaten by United on the East Coast, Arsenal enjoyed convincing victories over the MLS All-Stars and Barcelona across the Atlantic last summer. New arrivals Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber, and Declan Rice all got crucial time to settle into the squad on the tour, and the club will doubtlessly aim to complete as much business as possible before they jet off to the States this summer.

Upon their return, Man Utd's FA Cup final success means Arsenal won't be competing in the Community Shield ahead of the start of the new Premier League season. They, however, face Ligue 1 side Lyon in the Emirates Cup on 11 August and a friendly against Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen has also been pencilled in.

Due to the ongoing international tournaments, the club will not be heading to Germany for their annual visit to Adidas HQ.

While broadcast information for Arsenal's pre-season fixtures has not yet been released, the games will likely available to purchase on arsenal.com.

Last summer, the club charged £6.99 per game to stream friendlies or £15.99 for a pre-season pass.
