Arsenal's 4 best season-enders of the Premier League era
- There have been some standout final day performances from the Gunners since the formation of the Premier League
Another Premier League season is set to come to an end this Sunday as Arsenal host Everton at the Emirates. With the possibility of winning the Premier League title still there, this could be the most crucial final day ever for the Gunners.
Arsenal have had some good final days since the beginning of the Premier League and will be hoping this coming one will end in celebration.
In preparation for the final day, here are Arsenal's four best season-enders of the Premier League era. Albeit not Premier League, an honourable mention must go to the Gunners' dramatic 2-0 win at Liverpool in 1989 that secured the First Division title.
1. Arsenal 2-1 Leicester City (2003/04)
Despite having wrapped up the Premier League title with a 2-2 draw at Tottenham weeks before, Arsenal still wanted a win on the final day to secure their status as the only unbeaten title-winning side in Premier League history and they did just that.
Goals from club legends Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira helped the Gunners come from behind to beat Leicester City 2-1 and ensured the team finished the season unbeaten.
The win confirmed the 2003/04 Arsenal side's status as 'Invincible' and put them in the history books as one of the greatest teams to ever grace the Premier League.
