Sterling and Arteta worked together at Man City for three years and this was likely a huge factor in the former wanting a move to Arsenal.

The winger has had a poor two seasons in a struggling Chelsea team due to the various troubling circumstances at the West London club. He scored just 19 goals and assisted 12 in 81 appearances for the Blues, nothing compared to his time at City.

Yet to hit 30, Sterling has plenty of time to revive his career and has a great chance to do so while playing under Arteta at Arsenal.

As shown with the likes of Granit Xhaka and Kai Havertz, Arteta is more than capable of helping players turn their careers around. There is no doubt the Spaniard will help Sterling get back to his best at Arsenal.
