2. Declan Rice

Declan Rice made the move across London from West Ham last summer for a whopping £105m fee and plenty of questions were asked of the price tag. Despite this, he proved any critics wrong with a brilliant debut season with the Gunners.

He played every one of Arsenal's Premier League games and scored seven goals and provided eight assists, with another assist in the Champions League. This saw him break his personal goalscoring record for an individual season.

Rice netted crucial late winners against Manchester United and Luton Town respectively and that was just part of the impact he had on this Arsenal team. Without him in the midfield, the Gunners would have struggled at times this season.

His introduction to the side also filled a leadership gap left by Granit Xhaka upon his departure to Bayer Leverkusen last summer and as a result, Rice's impact has not only been felt on the pitch but also off it.

Having had an outstanding first year with Mikel Arteta's side, Declan Rice was certainly one of Arsenal's best players of the 2023/24 season.

1. Martin Odegaard

In his second season as club captain, Martin Odegaard had yet another brilliant campaign for Arsenal.

The Norwegian played in 35 of the Gunners' Premier League games and made 48 appearances across all competitions. He finished the season with eight Premier League goals and ten assists, with 11 of each in all competitions.

Despite not putting up the highest numbers, Odegaard's presence was constantly felt on the pitch. When the team was down, he would always ensure to pick his fellow players back up again while also prompting the fans to urge their team on.

His consistency across the whole season has to be acknowledged with Odegaard always putting in 100% effort whenever he played, regardless of results.

Odegaard was visibly disappointed following the 2-1 final day win over Everton to not have led his team to their first Premier League title in 20 years but should be proud of his efforts this season and as a result he was no doubt Arsenal's best player of the 2023/24 campaign.
