Arsenal are finally transforming into a world-class team again. Of late, they have become a team to be feared, rather than the fearful team they were a few seasons ago. This was personified when news broke this morning that Arsenal would face Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarterfinal. The Bavarians humiliated the Gunners in the past but this time, fans are confident about the battle ahead.

Mikel Arteta is largely to thank for this recent turnaround. The former club captain who became manager in 2019 is a world-class coach and one who big players dream to play under. Examples of excellent signings made by Mikel Arteta include Declan Rice, Gabriel Jesus and Ben White.

Certainly, there are plans to bring in more players this summer. Mikel Arteta has won the trust of the board, who repay him by granting his transfer wishes. This summer is all about signing a world-class goal scorer.

Arsenal take advantage over Chelsea as world-class striker dodges bullet

According to a report by TEAMTALK, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain have overtaken Chelsea in the race to sign Victor Osimhen from Italian side Napoli. The world-class striker defied all the odds last season and has established himself as one of the best strikers in the world currently.

Victor Osimhen is just one of a number of options considered by Mikel Arteta. The Nigerian striker is certainly a tempting option but it remains to be seen whether the Gunners are willing to spend as much money on a striker who lacks Premier League experience. Of course, he remains the dream option for many Arsenal fans, nonetheless.

The truth is, money can only get you so far. Chelsea have a squad full of world-class talents but they are genuinely woeful. They cannot put together an attack despite being home to some of the best in the business. Osimhen might be the one who got away, in that regard.

He'd be a great addition to the Premier League, let's just hope the right side of London get him.
