Arsenal maintained its unbeaten start to the Premier League season, securing an impressive 2-0 win over Aston Villa.

Statement made? Arsenal has made it two wins from two to begin its Premier League title assault, with a stirring second half the catalyst for a 2-0 win over Aston Villa.

With goalkeeper David Raya producing a save that defies the laws of physics, the Spaniard kept the Gunners in the game during the first half as Villa piled on the pressure.

But in the second half, Mikel Arteta's side clicked through the gears.

While it seemed as if the game was getting away from the Gunners, the introduction of Leandro Trossard proved to be a masterstroke as the Belgian scored with his first touch of the game.

Just 10 minutes later, Arsenal doubled its lead through Thomas Partey who lashed home his shot from range after being teed up by Bukayo Saka as the Gunners managed to see out the remaining time to stay perfect in the league.

Scoring with his first touch on Saturday evening, Trossard gave the Gunners the confidence needed to push on and now get overawed by the Villa faithful.

Arteta has a decision to make, as it's getting to the point where Trossard's form is becoming hard to ignore.
