Arsenal now knows its 2024/2025 Champions League opponents after the draw, and there are some interesting ties ahead for Mikel Arteta's side.

Arsenal's 2024/2025 Champions League campaign will kick off in mid-September and after the draw was completed, we now know who Mikel Arteta's side will be facing.

The Gunners will face Girona, Dinamo Zagreb, Inter Milan, Atalanta, Sporting Lisbon, Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain

The new Champions League format, which is now a 36-team competition, means that the Gunners won't play all of their opponents both home and away. Instead, it will be divided up equally between home and away games.

Due to the new format, the days of the four team groups are long gone, instead teams will play each other on a single table. This means that Arsenal will play its eight matches against all different teams with the venues being split between home and away evenly.

How do Arsenal qualify for Round of 16?

If the Gunners manage to finish in the top eight of the table, then that will grant them automatic passes through to the Round of 16, but if they don't, then they will have to play a two-legged playoff to secure their passage with teams between 9th and 24th.

So it will be a little different for the Gunners this season and there are some tantalizing matches coming up.

Inter Milan, Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and Atalanta loom as the "big" games on the schedule, while there are tricky games against Sporting Lisbon, Dinamo Zagreb and Girona.

After being dumped out of last season's competition by Bayern Munich at the Quarter-Final stage and will be hoping to go deeper into the competition this time around.
