Arsenal travel to the Allianz Arena to capitalise on their current 2-2 scoreline. It was a dramatic night the first time out as it had everything including great goals, silky skills, crunching tackles and penalty shouts. In the end, a fair scoreline was reached but the Gunners have every reason to fight again in Munich.

Alphonso Davies will miss the game since he picked up a yellow card in the reverse fixture, meaning an accumulation renders him suspended. This could work in Arsenal's favour since they have the psychological edge of knowing who will operate the left-hand side of defence.

As for the right side, Joshua Kimmich didn't have much to do in the first leg. However, as Mikel Arteta alters his game plan, Kimmich is expected to be much busier. If today's news is anything to go by, then Arsenal fans may wish to keep an eye on Joshua Kimmich for another reason...

Arsenal agree deal with Bayern Munich star before 2nd leg Champions League clash

According to Fichajes, a bold claim has been made that Joshua Kimmich has agreed a deal in principle to join Arsenal for three years. Interestingly, this news has developed between the two knockout ties and despite Bayern Munich's best efforts, it is thought they will settle for a sale of around €70M.

Kimmich runs out of contract in Munich in the summer of 2025, meaning if they do not sell this summer then they run the risk of losing him for free. Kimmich is a club legend and Bayern have the opportunity to pocket some serious cash, which can be spent by their new head coach in summer, so they will take €70M.

Kimmich is a world-class player who has the versatility to play as a full-back or a midfielder. Similar to Zinchenko for Arsenal, except his defending is top-notch. Regardless, having a player of Kimmich's calibre in the ranks will greatly benefit Mikel Arteta, who could take advantage of his sheer versatility.

Of course, the talks are still in their early days so it's important to mention that Arsenal are not over the line yet. The Spanish report states that the deal is simply in principle and Arsenal are yet to negotiate with Bayern Munich. Bayern will not engage in discourse over the sale of their players until after the Champions League tie, as per Bayern Strikes.
