Arsenal face Porto in the UEFA Champions League 2nd leg tonight. Things looked to be flowing smoothly in the reverse fixture before Galeno scored an incredible goal in the final moments. Now, the Gunners must play their own attacking game at home in the 2nd leg to secure their place in the quarterfinal of the competition.
Much of Arsenal's attacking brilliance in 2024 has been orchestrated by the main creative driving force Martin Odegaard. The Gunners captain is always in the right place at the right time to feed balls into the space afforded by his teammates. Therefore, he has a big role to play against Porto.
Arsenal head into this game with spirits high. Although they suffered a knock against Porto in the 1st leg, they have had an excellent 2024 otherwise. At the weekend, the Gunners kept up their winning momentum in the Premier League courtsey of Kai Havertz scoring a late winner against Brentford.

Reflecting on the 1st leg game and analysing Arsenal's chances in the 2nd leg, Martin Odegaard is confident the result will swing in the home side's favour. As posted by Connor Humm on X (formerly Twitter), Odegaard said:
“We didn’t play our best game [in the 1st leg], we weren’t good enough on the ball. We have looked at those things and straight after all of the players knew what we had to do different already. It’s the only game we didn’t win this year and that’s enough motivation to come back. We are really ready for the game and hyped up. It’s going to be a good one.”

Arsenal fans should LOVE the camaraderie shown and led by the skipper. Particularly when he said that the squad are "really ready" and "hyped up." This is a true reflection of how the fans feel too - In previous years, Arsenal heads may have sunk but with the current squad, fans are optimistic about another terrific European night.
