Barcelona have made a complete mockery out of Arsenal in the transfer window, both recently and in the past. Recently, they signed Raphinha, after the Brazil international initially turned down Arsenal while he was at Leeds United. In the past, Barcelona have also made a habit out of signing Arsenal's captains.

But this summer transfer window, Arsenal have a golden opportunity at their disposal to execute the perfect transfer revenge over Barcelona. According to reports, Arsenal have been given an opportunity to sign one of those players.

The player in question is, you guessed it, Raphinha himself. As per HITC, Raphinha is seeking a return to the Premier League this summer. It's not believed that Barcelona will stand in the way of his transfer dream either, given that Lamine Yamal is proving to be one of the best players in the world in Raphinha's position, still at an impressively young age.

Despite the rejection from Raphinha in a previous transfer window, Mikel Arteta remains keen about bringing him in. In fact, TEAMTALK have gone as far as to say that Eddie Nketiah could be involved in the deal, with Arsenal keen to add a makeweight to lessen the asking price.

Raphinha would certainly be a welcomed addition to Arsenal. There must be a reason why Mikel Arteta insists to sign him and the reason being, he would add to an incredibly fluid attack, improving the dynamism which Arsenal showed in front of goal last season, particularly in 2024.

Arsenal still harbour hopes of winning the Premier League title. Over the last two seasons, they have come annoyingly close to Man City. In the new campaign, they will be eager to get off on the front foot and continue the momentum throughout. Therefore, depth is key, hence the abundant Arsenal transfer shortlist.
