The Bukayo Saka injury scare has been the talk of town as far as Arsenal fans are concerned. Needless to say, the attack looked much different against Luton Town in midweek without the starboy in the squad but Arsenal sufficed with a goal from Martin Odegaard and an own-goal forced by Emile Smith Rowe.

Ahead of the Brighton clash this weekend, there will be many Arsenal fans refreshing the latest Arsenal injury news in hopes of an update about Bukayo Saka. Well, those fans are in luck as Mikel Arteta has issued a Bukayo Saka injury update and as far as he's aware, everything looks good.

According to The Mirror, Mikel Arteta has downplayed concerns about a potential Bukayo Saka injury ahead of the Brighton clash. He is hopeful that Saka will return to training and have him available for the match, which kicks off tomorrow (Saturday).

In his own words, Arteta said: "He was close [vs Luton] but again he felt something in a very similar area against City and it was a very short turnaround. Hopefully he'll be able to train again and we can have him for the weekend. He hasn't been able to do everything that we needed to give him the chance to start the game. Touch wood we can maintain them."

It goes without saying that Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of Bukayo Saka. He is known to play Saka even he shows signs of injury or fatigue. It is not surprising that Bukayo Saka is the Arsenal player with the most appearances under Mikel Arteta. Therefore, it was refreshing for Arsenal fans that he was given time to recuperate, not being included in the squad against Luton Town.

Brighton are, without a doubt, tougher opposition than Luton were. Last season at around the same stage of the season, Arsenal suffered the fate of being beaten by Brighton. This time round, the squad is stronger, so Arteta will hope to have Saka

Arteta will lineup as strongly as possible against Brighton this weekend but he will have an eye on the Champions League quarterfinal tie against Bayern Munich, which happens in midweek. He will want to start Bukayo Saka, obviously, but Arsenal fans may find it best if he is left on the bench, only brought on when necessary.
