2. Gabriel Jesus - £7.0 million

Remember the couple of months at the start of the 2022/23 season when it looked like Arsenal signed a reincarnation of Ronaldo Nazario? This version of Gabriel Jesus was monstrous, but we haven't seen that side of him for a while. Now, with Kai Havertz the starting number nine, it looks like the Brazilian could be reduced to a rotational role going into next season.

It's precisely for that reason that it's not worth taking an unnecessary risk on the forward for FPL, at least for now. With nine goal contributions in 27 league appearances, his offensive output of late has not been promising either. Additionally, his injury record is generally a problem each season, too, Jesus missed 16 games last season because of this. There are definitely better, more reliable options at the £7.0 million price point.

However, still do keep an eye on him though. An adaptable team player, Jesus provides cover for several positions. Should there be any first-team absences throughout the season, he should be pretty high up the pecking order.
