Ethan Nwaneri - £4.5m

Despite being one of the most exciting players at Arsenal right now, Ethan Nwaneri simply holds no value in FPL.

He has made just two Premier League appearances previously and, at 17 years old, looks unlikely to drastically improve on that in the immediate future, making him a poor choice in FPL.

Reiss Nelson - £5m

Reiss Nelson is a fringe player at best at Arsenal, after making just 15 appearances in the Premier League last season, which should automatically rule him out of most FPL teams.

There have been rumours that he could leave the club, which could make him a viable option if he joined a team in the same division, but for now, there is little to no value in owning him.

Thomas Partey - £5m

If his poor injury record had not already put you off of owning Thomas Partey in FPL, the fact that he is a defensive midfielder certainly should. Midfielders only score points for goals or assists, and can get one, yes just one, for keeping a clean sheet - making defensive midfielder poor options in the game.

This, coupled with his injuries and likely lack of minutes means that you should steer clear of the veteran midfielder.

Jorginho - £5m

The Italian is likely to play more often than Partey but, in similar fashion, Jorginho is just too defensive to be effective in FPL.

Emile Smith Rowe - £5.5m

At £5.5m, Emile Smith Rowe simply does not play enough to warrant taking a punt on owning him in FPL this season... but that could be about to change.

He is the subject of interest from Fulham and Crystal Palace and, if such a move were to transpire, he could become a viable asset to own but, as it stands - steer clear.

Fabio Vieira - £5.5m

Injuries and a general lack of playing time, even when fit, mean that there are far better options than Fabio Vieira in FPL, even when he is fit.

Declan Rice - £6.5m

While, as already stated, defensive-minded midfielders are not effective in FPL, Declan Rice creates in interesting decision.

£6.5m is not a cheap price but, having notched up 15 goal involvements last season, and with Rice guaranteed to start whenever he is fit, he is certainly an option to consider.

Leandro Trossard - £7m

Leandro Trossard presents an intriguing proposition for FPL managers. 12 goals and an assist last season looks like a solid return on paper, but just 18 starts, and an average of 48 minutes played across all 34 of his Premier League appearances, make him a huge rotation risk.

Given the presence of Gabriel Martinelli in the squad, choosing either winger feels like an unnecessary risk that FPL managers should avoid.

Martinelli faces a similar issue to Trossard - and that is that, despite 10 goal involvements last season, he has become prone to rotation.

Last season was, however, poor by his standards and, if he ups his game in the upcoming campaign, he may be able to cement his place on the left wing.

Martin Ødegaard - £8.5m

It should perhaps come as no surprise that a player who recorded 18 goal involvements last season, while also being a guaranteed starter, will command a hefty price in FPL for the coming season.

Despite this, £8.5m is still a very reasonable price for Martin Ødegaard and he is a genuine option that millions of managers will consider in the weeks ahead.

Bukayo Saka - £10m

Bukayo Saka is Arsenal's most expensive player in FPL this year and the joint-fourth most expensive player overall - and is it any wonder why?

A guaranteed starter who scored 16 goals and assisted a further nine last season - and he is already owned by 26.5 per cent of all FPL players, at the time of writing.

It is a big outlay for one player - but you may regret not owning Saka this season!
