One of Arsenal's more favourable fixtures is a home tie against Shakhtar Donetsk. The two clubs have met on four occasions, with two wins apiece.

Their first set of encounters came in the 2000-01 Champions League first group stage before meeting again ten years later. Both of Arsenal's victories against Shakhtar have come at home, 3-2 and 5-1 respectively.

With a good home record against the Ukrainian Premier League champions and the huge gap in quality between the two sides, Mikel Arteta will certainly be looking forward to this matchup.

Arsenal will travel to Atalanta for yet another tough away trip to Italy. The two sides have never met in their histories.

Manager Gian Piero Gasperini led his side to Europa League glory last season, beating Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the final. Atalanta were the only team to beat Xabi Alonso's side in all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign.

The Italian side will no doubt provide a tough test for Arsenal but Mikel Arteta will be looking forward to the challenge ahead.
