Excitement levels crank up a notch here and it seems Arsenal signed their own John Stones profile in the form of Riccardo Calafiori.

The 22-year-old starred for Bologna last campaign as they qualified for the Champions League (their first time to do so since 1964), while he also shone bright at Euro 2024 even if Italy endured an early exit.

His brilliant displays made him hot property across Europe, only making it more impressive that the Gunners could strike a deal in July for just £42m.

Questions might be asked about the need for him, with Arsenal already boasting many (albeit not great) options at left back and the best defensive record in the Premier League, all while being in dire need of investment at the opposite end of the pitch.

But the deal itself looks a steal and Calafiori should help improve our left-hand side dynamic.
