Arsenal beat Southampton 3-1 at Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon and were forced to come from behind to collect the three points.

Despite dominating the first half, the Gunners went into the break with the score still 0-0. Ten minutes into the second half, the Saints took the lead against the run of play through a well-placed shot by Cameron Archer. However, minutes later Kai Havertz picked up the ball and struck a good effort that went in off the post to level it up.

With just over 20 minutes remaining and the Gunners attacking in full force, Bukayo Saka played in a brilliant cross from the right wing and Gabriel Martinelli met it at the far post to poke the ball past former teammate Aaron Ramsdale and put his side in the lead. As the 90-minute mark was approaching, Saka pounced on a loose ball in the Saints penalty box and smashed home to seal the win for Arsenal.

After initial worry following the opening goal, the Gunners did brilliantly to come back and see off the struggling Saints.

Here are the Arsenal player ratings from Saturday's comeback win over Southampton.

Goalkeeper & Defenders

David Raya (GK) - 6/10 - Didn't have much to do throughout the game and couldn't do much to stop Archer's opener. Missed the ball on a Saints corner and almost presented the opposition with an equalizer.

Thomas Partey (RB) - 7/10 - Moving to right back as cover for the injured Jurrien Timber and Ben White, many feared the Ghanaian would not be able to perform in the position. He proved his doubters wrong however, doing his job well and helping out in defence and attack.

William Saliba (CB) - 6.5/10 - Like his keeper, he didn't have much to do throughout the game due to the visitors' minimal attacking threat. Will be disappointed not to have kept a clean sheet.

Gabriel Magalhaes (CB) - 6.5/10 - Same situation as Saliba. Not much to do and disappointed to have conceded.

Riccardo Calafiori (LB) - 7.5/10 - Another solid showing at left-back for the Italy international. Defended well and seemed to show more aggression, something fans have demanded from him in recent games.
