Arsenal continued their winning start to the season with a revenge-packed 2-0 victory away to Aston Villa. There were once again positive displays from a number of players which will please Mikel Arteta.

After a stalemate in the first half, substitute Leandro Trossard gave his side the lead with just over 20 minutes remaining. Thomas Partey then beat Emiliano Martinez with a curler from the edge of the box soon after to secure the three points.

In a performance that was not convincing at all times, there were three standout performers in Arsenal's 2-0 win at Aston Villa.

Cool and composed from kick-off, Saliba put in yet another brilliant defensive display against Aston Villa. The Frenchman was unbelievably calm every time he was on the ball and did not faze under pressure from Villa's attackers.

He played 88 accurate passes out of an attempted 89, giving him a completion rate of 99%. Saliba also made an outstanding last man tackle on Jacob Ramsey to help preserve his side's clean sheet late on.

Throughout the match, Saliba completed 12 defensive actions and won seven duels, showing once again why he is one of the best defenders in the Premier League and the world.
