Arsenal still boast an interest in Brentford striker Ivan Toney, and the England international could be available for as little as £30m this summer.

The Gunners entered the January window seemingly in desperate need of a #9, but the club's decision not to panic and splash out in the winter has been vindicated by Kai Havertz's rich vein of form.

With Gabriel Jesus once again battling injury, Havertz has been utilised in a forward role for much of 2024 and has recorded an impressive nine goal contributions in his previous seven Premier League outings, thrusting Arsenal to the top of the table.

Despite Havertz's stellar form, the Gunners are expected to go big at the striker position this summer in what could prove to be the final stage of the club's evolution under Mikel Arteta.

Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokores are two high-profile names to keep an eye on once the summer transfer window opens. These lucrative assets are reportedly on Arsenal's wish list, although the club have been associated with a whole host of #9s.

Brentford's Toney continues to crop up in conversations. The Englishman harbours hopes of representing his country at Euro 2024 having returned from a lengthy gambling suspension in the new year.

Toney hasn't set the world alight since his return, with Brentford struggling as a collective, but he's nonetheless bound to receive a ton of intrigue come the end of the season. The Bees are expected to part ways with their talisman, and Florian Plettenberg reports that Brentford would be open to offers in the region of £30m-£40m.

The striker's contract expires next summer.

Toney has previously expressed his desire to play in north London, and such a low valuation given his contract situation could tempt Arsenal to act this summer. Chelsea and West Ham are also said to be keen.

While some might have concerns over his character, Toney's talent is hard to ignore. He's certainly got the ego to perform at the highest level, and his quality isn't far off either.
