Arsenal's top 10 goals of the 2023/24 season - ranked

Arsenal bagged an astonishing 113 goals in all competitions during the 2023/24 season, but 10 in particular stood out as hallmarks of the team's growing talent and style going forward.

10. Martin Odegaard vs Sheffield United (A)

Multi-pass forays forward are a personal favourite, and Odegaard's smartly constructed goal away at Sheffield United was like muscle memory from the peak days of Arsene Wenger.

This particular ode to Wengerball started way up on the left flank. Auxiliary full-back Jakub Kiwior passed back to Gabriel Magalhaes, and the central defender promptly rolled the ball square to Jorginho.

The relaxed pass-master prodded a first-time ball to Gabriel Martinelli on the edge of the box. Martinelli nudged the ball on the outside of his marker to meet an underlapping run from Declan Rice.

Mikel Arteta's £105-million man quickly pulled the ball back to the penalty spot. That's where Odegaard met it flush with a side-foot half volley. Sweet stuff.
