4. Changing fate in 'Fergie Time'

Next up is a moment so memorable that Erik ten Hag is still bringing it up in his interviews eight months later. I am, of course, talking about Arsenal’s win against Manchester United back in September.

The two sides were locked level with time running out on the clock. In the 89th minute, Alejandro Garnacho was sent through on goal. With only the keeper to beat, the Argentinian found the net and the win for United.

Or did he? An expert piece of defending from Gabriel saw Arsenal’s offside trap played to perfection and the goal was ruled out by VAR. Spurred on by this close call, the Gunners pushed on for a winner... and they found two.

First, Declan Rice volleyed in from a Bukayo Saka corner in the 96th minute to make it 2-1. Then after over 100 minutes of football played, Fabio Vieira sent Gabriel Jesus forward on the counter-attack. The Brazilian coolly rounded Diogo Dalot before scoring into the bottom corner.
