At number one, it has to be Gabriel Martinelli’s goal against Manchester City. The Gunners had defeated City earlier in the season at Wembley to win the Community Shield but still desperately needed to earn a win against City in the league.

Arsenal played exceptionally well and limited Man City to just one shot on target. However, with time running out it seemed that the Gunners were set to only pick up a point and fail to beat City in the league again.

Nobody expected to see Takehiro Tomiyasu sprinting into the penalty area in the 86th minute, but his header to Kai Havertz saw the German pick out Martinelli on the edge of the box.

It was clear that shooting was the only thing on Martinelli’s mind, and as he lined up his shot the Emirates held its breath. A few seconds later, the stadium erupted into scenes of pure chaos as the ball took a wicked deflection to beat Ederson. The Gunners had finally taken all three points off of City and for the first time, there was real belief that a second successive title hunt may be on the cards.
