Thomas Partey has been through highs and lows since joining Arsenal in 2020. When he's played, he's been a tremendous asset to the team as he dominates the midfield. Unfortunately, though, he has been missing a lot through injury, which has halted his progress in North London.

Now, Thomas Partey is 30 years old and seems to be getting left behind in Mikel Arteta's midfield plans. At least it seems this way, given that Arsenal are looking to bring in a new midfielder this summer, having already signed Declan Rice and Kai Havertz last year.

According to a report from HITC, Arsenal have held talks with the Tottenham transfer target Adrien Rabiot about a potential summer move. In case you didn't know, Rabiot runs out of contract at Juventus this summer and it doesn't look like he will put pen to paper before then.

Rabiot needs no introduction to Arsenal fans. In fact, his name has been the tale of most transfer windows over the last 10 years. However, for multiple reasons, a move to Arsenal never materialised for the French prodigy.

Now, Rabiot ages at 28 years and he is at the peak of his physical powers. He has the choice between two North London clubs and in truth, it's more difficult than it seems. Tottenham don't have the same quality that Arsenal do in the midfield, so he would be more likely to get game time there. That said, he is more likely to push for silverware at Arsenal.

Rabiot is a player who divides opinions. He comes with a certain level of unpredictability since he has a proven track record of disciplinary problems. While he seems to have settled down at Juventus, the last thing Arsenal want is for a midfielder to come in and stir the pot.
