Thomas Partey (DM) - 7/10 - Started well and helped Arsenal sustain attacks in the opening exchanges, but the midfielder offered no protection in transition as the game wore on. But hey, he got on the scoresheet.

Declan Rice (CM) - 6/10 - Wasn't at his most influential in an advanced role. Had some influence darting in behind early on, but Rice was otherwise pretty quiet.

Martin Odegaard (CM) - 6.5/10 - The skipper was not at his best at Villa Park. Stationed in his usual function, Odegaard drifted between having an influence in the build-up and final third.
