Arsenal succumbed to Aston Villa 1-0 as the Gunners missed a host of chances throughout the game.

3. Saliba and Gabriel outstanding yet again
Saliba and Gabriel barley gave Villa a sniff after they scored early on. Both dealt with Ollie Watkins well and any of Villa's other attacking threats.
Given how much Arsenal was dictating the game, both snuffed out any potential Villa counter-attack with ease and gave the ball back to the team's distrubitors.
While the attacking left a lot to be desired, defensively, aside from McGinn's early goal, Arsenal shut the door. Unfortunately, the horse had already bolted.
