Thomas Partey (CM) - 4/10 - A lucky, lucky boy. His legs are gone, and the sequence which led to the penalty was awful. A sloppy display all around.

Declan Rice (CM) - 5/10 - Back in the side after serving his suspension, Rice is still easing himself into the new season. He was tasked with winning headers up the field in the first half, but he didn't have much joy. Wasn't dominant when duelling, and Atalanta did have some success accessing the half-space he typically protects.

Kai Havertz (AM) - 5.5/10 - Havertz had a big role to play in Bergamo, with their plan in possession predicated around the German's duelling ability. Wasn't his best night.
