Bukayo Saka (RW) - 5/10 - Little to note here outside of his decent free-kick attempt in the first half. Helped out White defensively.

Gabriel Jesus (ST) - 4/10 - An odd choice for captain in Martin Odegaard's absence, and Jesus was not emboldened by the responsibility. He was bullied by the Atalanta backline, struggling to combine throughout. His substitution before the hour was necessary.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) - 4/10 - After failing to get into the game at all, Martinelli spurned a big chance late on to hand the Gunners the lead. Still lacking confidence in front of goal.

Substitutes

  • Jorginho - 5/10
  • Leandro Trossard - 5/10
  • Riccardo Calafiori - 6.5/10
  • Raheem Sterling - 6/10

Player of the match: David Raya
