Arsene Wenger is the most successful manager in Arsenal history. As far as long-serving coaches go, not many can top the Frenchman. But how have Arsenal fared since the legendary man retired? Well, here is the best Arsenal lineup of the post-Wenger era...

The best Arsenal lineup of the post-Wenger era

Before we jump into the lineup, let's first address some of the ground rules. This lineup will be judged based on the era after which Arsene Wenger retired (he left Arsenal in 2018). It will be judged only on how the players performed after Wenger left, meaning that if they played under Wenger AND his successor(s), they will only make this list if they impressed under Wenger's successor(s).

Without further ado, let's jump into the lineup...

GK: Aaron Ramsdale

For me, the choice was between Bernd Leno, Aaron Ramsdale or David Raya. It is still too early to consider the Spaniard, despite his impressive start since signing from Brentford on loan.

Between Leno and Ramsdale, the decision is much more difficult. Leno had the longevity, but Ramsdale had the aura. Purely for being the catalyst to getting the club back on the right-track and into the Champions League again, Ramsdale gets the nod between the sticks.
