Over to you, Liverpool.

That's the message Mikel Arteta's Arsenal sent Jurgen Klopp's side after a convincing 3-0 win away at Brighton as the Gunners' late season momentum continued.

Bukayo Saka got the scoring started in the first half, converting a penalty won by Gabriel Jesus. Kai Havertz doubled Arsenal's lead in the second half before ex-Seagull Leandro Trossard made it three late on with a delicious finish to put the game beyond doubt.

While the scorline is indeed great for Arsenal's goal difference, it could have been far better with a host of wasted chances again being a top of conversation.

Of course, we're splitting hairs here as a 3-0 away win is nothing to turn your nose up at. The game provided plenty of talking points; here they are.

Title charge continues

After Manchester City's 4-2 win over Crystal Palace earlier, Arsenal knew it needed a positive result to not only keep Pep Guardiola's juggernaut in the rearview mirror, but also put the pressure back on Liverpool.

The Reds face Manchester United and will need a win at Old Trafford to return to the summit.

The Gunners knew what they needed, and went out and took it from a Brighton side that has given the side struggles over the years. But this Arsenal side feels different, and Arteta's team walked into the Amex and took what was theirs.

And in the process, gives Liverpool added pressure against United.
