David Raya joined Arsenal from Brentford on a season-long loan deal last summer and immediately displaced Aaron Ramsdale as the club's number one goalkeeper.

The Spain international had a mixed start to his Gunners career, making some mistakes, but has been solid for most of the season. He finished the campaign with 16 Premier League clean sheets, winning him the Golden Glove award, and 20 shutouts in all competitions.

It has been reported that Raya is set to join the club permanently this summer for a fee of £27m so let's take a look back at his best performances this season.


1. Arsenal 5-0 Crystal Palace

In Arsenal's first game back from the winter break, Raya put in a good performance to help his side to a a crucial 5-0 win. He made five saves on his way to keeping a clean sheet.

An excellent throw by Raya launched a counter-attack that resulted in Leandro Trossard firing past Dean Henderson to net Arsenal's third goal.

This performance was where Raya began to show signs of why Mikel Arteta was correct in his decision to replace Aaron Ramsdale. Raya showed Arsenal fans that he is by far the superior 'keeper in terms of distribution.
