It goes without saying that Declan Rice is a natural leader, which is one of the main reasons why Mikel Arteta wanted Arsenal to invest heavily into signing him. After winning a European trophy last season with West Ham United, unfortunately he cannot replicate that this season, after Arsenal bowed out miserably vs Bayern Munich.

Although it might feel like it, the season is far from over. There are still six Premier League games remaining and during that time, anything can happen.

Of course, Arsenal haven't covered themselves in glory in the last week but with the help of Declan Rice and other leaders in the dressing room, the Gunners can turn their fortunes around and hope for the best with the other factors out of their control.

Declan Rice makes superb Premier League claim after Arsenal lose vs Bayern Munich

Speaking after the disappointing loss in Munich, Declan Rice revealed that all hope is not lost at Arsenal. He claimed that the Gunners still believe they can win six of their last six Premier League games, claiming that they can't let Champions League heartbreak derail them from having a good end to the season.

In his own words (via Connor Humm), Rice said: “6 finals to go. We believe we can win 6 games. It’s going to be difficult but we need to carry on what we have been doing all season. We can’t let the last two results knock us.”

Most Arsenal fans will still be disheartened by the Bayern Munich loss, which I completely understand. However, nothing bad can come from Declan Rice having a positive attitude about the remainder of the season.

As mentioned, winning the Premier League is out of Arsenal's control. They lost that control at the weekend when they lost against Aston Villa at home. However, all they can do is to win their remaining games and hope for an unlikely Man City slip-up.

Winning those last six games won't be easy as half of them are against "big six" clubs Chelsea, Man United and Tottenham. Title race aside, Arsenal will be hungry to win those games, even if only for derby day bragging rights.

Even if Arsenal do not win the league, what bad can happen from fighting to win every last game? After all, the worst case scenario would be carrying some impressive winning momentum into the new season.
