Arsenal are looking ahead to the beginning of the new Premier League season, as Mikel Arteta hopes that this time around, he can rally his troops for another title charge. They begin this season's campaign against Wolves at home and it goes without saying that Mikel Arteta will field his strongest possible lineup.

Thankfully for the Spanish boss, he is not without any key players. The Gunners are set to start the season strongly with their key players available. It will come in handy, considering their opening five games are tough.

In the buildup to the Arsenal vs Wolves Premier League opener, Arsenal have been treated to some positive injury news, which serves as a major boost to Mikel Arteta.

According to Standard, Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber has returned to training in time to be fit for the Arsenal vs Wolves match. The versatile defender missed all but two games last season and he was also absent in Arsenal's later pre-season matches. However, he will now hope to play a role against Wolves on Saturday.

Whether or not Jurrien Timber starts in the match remains to be seen, considering Mikel Arteta has a strong defensive core with key players fighting for positions.

If Timber is to start, his best option is at left-back, with the two centre-back options claimed by Gabriel and William Saliba and right-back claimed by Ben White. However, left-back also sees competition from new signing Riccardo Calafiori and Oleksandr Zinchenko, who looks eager for the season ahead if pre-season is anything to go by.

That said, Arteta will have a plan in mind to suit all three needs. It must be said that Zinchenko can play as a midfielder and both Calafiori and Timber are fluid in defence. So, there are options. I don't think anyone would feel safe placing their bets on how Arteta will lineup for the season ahead, considering his tactics can be wacky and impossible to predict. Got to love him, though.

Do you think Jurrien Timber will start in the Premier League against Wolves?
