Over the last few seasons, Arsenal have developed a new-found rivalry with Manchester City. Mikel Arteta came from the club and brought with him Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko. This, partnered with the two title races in recent history, is enough to leave a bitter feeling between the two fanbases.

Of course, from Arsenal's perspective, Kyle Walker fuels a lot of this bitter feeling. He has never been a fan of Arsenal, which makes sense given his history with Tottenham and now Manchester City.

There is no denying that Kyle Walker is a world-class defender. In fact, he is one of the best in the world and annoyingly, he shows no signs of deteriorating even given his age. Like a fine wine, I believe they say...

Kyle Walker (of all people) hypes up Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal transfer target

Speaking to Rio Ferdinand's FIVE YouTube channel, Kyle Walker spoke about Joao Cancelo, who is a current Arsenal transfer target for the summer transfer window. Walker described him as the best technical right-back he's ever seen.

In his own words, Walker said: “He’s one I should have definitely mentioned in the right-backs. Technically, he’s the best I’ve ever seen. Ever seen. Inside, outside, he controls the ball, his dribbling,”

Cancelo is still under contract with Manchester City but he is on loan at Barcelona. Given the Catalan's financial position, it remains to be seen whether they can meet Man City's demands to sign him permanently. Therefore, Arsenal are understandably on alert.

The Gunners have been interested in signing Joao Cancelo for some time now, as Mikel Arteta is clearly a big fan. They were linked with a summer move but instead, they opted for Jurrien Timber. It remains to be seen whether they will *seriously* pursue a move for Cancelo this summer but Mikel Arteta is a known admirer, so he is tipped to make the move.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has provided an Emile Smith Rowe transfer update.
