Kylian Mbappe reveals why he will not join Arsenal this summer
- Mbappe says he will not join Arsenal because of the weather
- Confirms he will leave PSG at the end of the season
- Likely destination for Mbappe is Real Madrid
Paris Saint Germain striker Kylian Mbappe has unequivocally dismissed any possibility of joining Arsenal in the summer despite rumoured interest from Mikel Arteta.
With Mbappe expected to depart PSG this summer after years of speculation, his future has been a subject of intense speculation, with many expecting the 25-year-old France captain to join Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Last month, amid swirling rumours surrounding Mbappe's departure, Arsenal's interest in the French forward was publicly acknowledged by Arteta.

Arteta was asked before Arsenal's trip to Burnley last month if he was in the conversation for Mbappe, the Spaniard replied: "I'm not. Maybe Edu and the owners are but I'm not involved until the last stage."
“If we want to be the best team, then you need to have the best players, that's for sure. The club that we are, I don't think that's ever been an issue. Everyone wants to play for Arsenal.”
However, Mbappe's response to a fan's plea for him to consider joining Arsenal in a circulating social media video left little room for interpretation. In the video, Mbappe responded with laughter, dismissing the idea of joining Arsenal outright, jokingly citing the weather as a deterrent.
Mbappe said: “Arsenal? There’s no way, there’s no way.” When pressed further by the fan, Mbappe cited the weather as a deterrent, jesting, “It’s too cold there.”
While Mbappe's destination remains officially unconfirmed by both the player and the involved clubs, speculation heavily favours a move to Real Madrid. PSG and Madrid have maintained silence on the matter.
Mbappe was never a feasible option for the Gunners this summer, but the club is set to make a big splash in forward areas. Arsenal have been linked with a whole host of #9s, including Victor Osimhen, and a major arrival is very much expected after an inactive winter.
