2. Unleash Declan Rice & William Saliba

The Liverpool midfield/attack will not know what hit them.

Arsenal had neither Saliba (injured) nor Rice (not an Arsenal player) for the spring trip to Anfield, so their involvement on this occasion should bolster our chances of getting an overdue win.

Signings do not come much more transformative than Rice, whose brilliant personal contributions have also elevated the level of those around him - including Havertz. His anticipation when tackling will pose issues for Liverpool as they often look to progress play through the centre and sustain attacks, while his ability to drive forward from wide areas- especially following turnovers- could cause them to think twice about their high defensive line.

Elsewhere, Saliba will finally make his Anfield bow and might inspire some structural change from last year's setup. The Frenchman’s pace and recovery challenges add a tactical weapon we did not have with Rob Holding and allow us to be more aggressive up front, with his physicality likely to trouble Liverpool in their efforts to exploit any vacated space.

Although this fixture is never straightforward, Rice and Saliba are two massive additions that may just swing it in our favour.
