A top-of-the-table clash awaits in the Premier League on Saturday as Arsenal visit the Anfield cauldron to take on Liverpool.

The Gunners reclaimed top spot last weekend after cruising past Brighton with an impressive display. Manchester United then frustrated Liverpool on Merseyside which means Arsenal have a one-point lead at the summit heading into the weekend's clash.

Both teams are primed for deep title challengers, but Saturday's clash will go a long way in setting the tone for the second half of the season.

The Reds thumped West Ham 5-1 in the Carabao Cup in midweek, and they'll be looking to preserve their imperious unbeaten run on home soil which has lasted well over a year. Arsenal came close to triumphing at Anfield last season, but they were pegged back after taking a 2- 0 lead which hindered their title dream.

Liverpool team news

Diogo Jota

Diogo Jota is closing in on a return, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him feature off the bench at the weekend.

Alexis Mac Allister is likely to miss out with a knee injury, so Wataru Endo should start at the base of midfield again. Ryan Gravenberch's potential absence means Curtis Jones will continue in Liverpool's midfield.

Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic, Joel Matip, and Andy Robertson are long-term absentees.

Arsenal team news

There are rumours that Thomas Partey could be fit to feature at Anfield on Saturday. However, the Ghanaian will surely only make the bench if he does make the matchday squad.

Mohamed Elneny will miss out, with the Egyptian joining Takehiro Tomiyasu, Fabio Vieira, and Jurrien Timber on the sidelines.

Jorginho is a doubt with a foot injury.

Liverpool vs Arsenal score prediction

It's been over a decade since Arsenal last won at Anfield, but many are confident that this could finally be their time. The Gunners aren't infallible, but they've so often appeared measured and controlled this term.

However, they haven't yet been able to get over the line in tough away games at Newcastle and Aston Villa.

Stylistically, both teams set-up in a way that suits their opponents. That could make for thrilling viewing on Saturday. It's bound to be a restless encounter, and Jurgen Klopp's recent comments means Anfield should be bouncing.

Give me another entertaining draw.

Prediction: Liverpool 2-2 Arsenal
