Mikel Arteta has hinted at a very busy summer in north London, with the Arsenal boss saying he and sporting club director "are not satisfied" with where the Gunners are.

Arsenal could yet end the 2023/24 season as Premier League champions, although some might suggest the club are yet to reach the final stage of the Spaniard's project. Their Champions League exit at the hands of Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals pointed towards progress, but showed that Arsenal still have a little bit of learning to do.

Arteta has consistently been backed in the transfer market since joining the club, and last summer was another key window in the club's evolution as Declan Rice, David Raya, Kai Havertz, and Jurrien Timber all joined the north Londoners. January was much quieter due to reported Financial Fair Play concerns, but the coffers are set to be lifted this summer ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Arteta's recent comments regarding the club's upcoming transfer window plans point towards another exciting summer for the fanbase. "We have a few ideas, yes," he said (via Fabrizio Romano) in regards to talks with Edu.

"We have to see where we finish first and to see what we are capable of doing. See how we are going to make another step or two steps forward because we are not satisfied with where we are".

Arsenal's Champions League status and the evolution of Arteta's project renders the club a distinctly attractive possibility for a litany of players. In recent weeks, the club have been linked with the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Michael Olise, and Alexander Isak - three Premier League stars undoubtedly capable of taking Arsenal to the 'next level'. While the club's summer priorities in terms of position are not yet set in stone, moves for two forwards - a winger and striker - as well as a multi-faceted controlling midfielder seem likely.

However, the nature of the Gunners' incomings will likely depend on how many of their own they can ship out. Fortunately, the club have an array of players on the chopping block and some could garner handy fees should they depart this summer. Thomas Partey, Aaron Ramsdale, Fabio Vieira, and even Oleksandr Zinchenko are among those that could be sold.
