Needless to say, Arsenal are going to be active in the summer transfer window. The main position of concern for Mikel Arteta appears to be signing a centre forward. Preferably, he would like a Premier League proven striker who can guarantee 20+ goals in a season, hence why he is eyeing Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.

Without a doubt, the Swedish international has been the best player for the Magpies this season. Where Eddie Howe's side has been underwhelming elsewhere, Isak has been their diamond in the rough.

Despite missing chunks of the season through injury, Isak still managed to be the third highest Premier League goal-scorer of the season. He netted 21 times in the Premier League and and 25 goals across all competitions.

Known for his impressive technical ability, immense height and cunning football intelligence, Alexander Isak is emerging into one of the best strikers in the world.

So, Isak has picked up a fair amount of interest. Most notably, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid would like to sign him. That said, Newcastle United are doing everything in their power to prevent him from leaving, which is understandable given his value to the club.

However, setting a £200m price tag is pretty extortionate. This is the value Newcastle have in mind if Alexander Isak is to leave this summer, according to The Mirror.

So, from Arsenal's perspective, it's time to look at other targets. Thankfully, there are better options out there than Alexander Isak who would be available for less than half of Newcastle's asking price.

The likes of Victor Osimhen, Ivan Toney, Viktor Gyokeres and Joshua Zirkzee have all been linked with a move to the Gunners recently. It wouldn't come as much of a surprise if Arsenal could sign multiple of those options for less than the price Newcastle have set of Alexander Isak.
