Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal preview: Prediction, team news & lineups
- Arsenal travel to the City Ground on Tuesday night
- Gunners returned to winning ways against Crystal Palace last week
- Nuno Espirito Santo has enjoyed bright start to Forest tenure
Arsenal travel to the City Ground on Tuesday night aiming to build on their emphatic 5-0 victory over Crystal Palace.
The Gunners enjoyed a free weekend as a result of their FA Cup third-round exit, with Forest drawing 0-0 away at Bristol City on Friday night. Nuno Espirito Santo has emboldened Tuesday's hosts, with Friday's draw being the first time Forest haven't scored two goals in a game under his stewardship.
Mikel Arteta's men rediscovered their final third efficiency last time out against a flat Palace outfit, with a late Gabriel Martinelli brace adding some gloss to the scoreline. Arsenal should take plenty of confidence from that victory after enduring a wretched run over the festive/New Year period.
Now's the time for the Gunners to go on a run, although the City Ground is never an easy place to visit.

Nottingham Forest team news
The hosts have been hard hit by AFCON, losing ten players to international duty. While some players will soon return to Nottingham, Nuno won't be able to call upon the likes of Serge Aurier, Willy Boly, Ibrahim Sangare, Ola Aina, and Cheikhou Kouyate.
On a more positive note, Morgan Gibbs-White was back in action on Friday and should be fit to start. Anthony Elanga is nursing a knock and facing a race against time to feature in midweek.
Divock Origi, Felipe, and Taiwo Awoniyi are out injured.
Arsenal team news
Declan Rice avoided a significant hamstring injury against Palace and will be fit to start on Tuesday. He could be joined in midfield by Thomas Partey, who's back in contention following a three-month absence.
The Ghanaian is more likely to earn minutes off the bench.
There are otherwise no fresh concerns for Arteta, with Jurrien Timber and Fabio Vieira still sidelined.

Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal prediction
Forest's FA Cup ventures means they've played double the number of games than the Gunners in 2024, although I don't think fatigue will play much of a role on Tuesday night.
The hosts are without several players as a result of AFCON, but Gibbs-White is crucially fit again. He's the difference-maker.
Arsenal succumbed at the City Ground to officially end their title dream last season, but they're better equipped to prevail this time around.
