Bukayo Saka (RW) - 7/10 - As has been a common theme of late, Saka was our biggest threat throughout much of the game and caused near-constant issues for the Porto defence to deal with. While he was ultimately unable to influence the result of the game, the 22-year-old was a real bright spark in an otherwise disappointing game.

Leandro Trossard (ST) - 6/10 - While Trossard failed to register a single shot on target, despite playing as a striker, it is hard to fault the Belgian when the team lacked creativity all night. He did not miss any clear-cut chances and will hope that it was just 'one of those days'.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) - 5/10 - It was a very quiet game for Martinelli, who looked a shadow of the player that we have seen in recent games, failing to record a single shot in the game. While he was causing problems on the wing, there was a serious lack of end product which is something of a problem for an attacker.

Substitutes

  • Jorginho (74') - 5/10

Player of the match: Declan Rice
