6. Ted Drake

Sticking to the same time period as Bastin, his teammate and strike partner Ted Drake is next on this list. As Arsenal's third highest goal-scorer of all-time, he deserved a high spot in this list.

Drake played 11 years with Arsenal, signing from Southampton in 1929 and eventually retiring at the club in 1945. He certainly had a knack for scoring goals and he was the type of player who could make a goal from nothing. In 167 league appearances, he scored 124 league goals.

5. Alan Smith

Rolling back the years to one of Arsenal's best players throughout history, Alan Smith. Modern football fans may recognise Alan Smith for his incredible punditry and commentary but Leicester City and Arsenal fans (arguably more so those at Arsenal) will remember him for his incredible goal-scoring ability.

Spending his best years at Arsenal and retiring there in 1995, Alan Smith won two First Division titles, the FA Cup and League Cup.
