Real Madrid president praises on-loan Arsenal star

Real Madrid recently faced Real Valladolid in their second La Liga match of their campaign. Los Blancos emerged victorious but after the match, the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez placed a particular emphasis on Valladolid goalkeeper Karl Hein, on loan from Arsenal.
The Estonian goalkeeper Karl Hein has impressed in his opening two fixtures for Real Valladolid. The reserve goalkeeper for Arsenal who had a great pre-season is emerging into a key component for Real Valladolid and despite conceding three against Madrid, he still received plaudits for his great performance.
It takes a great player to catch the eye of Florentino Perez, one of the most knowledgable people in the landscape of football currently. But what did Perez say about Hein?
Real Madrid president praises on-loan Arsenal star
According to Fichajes, Florentino Perez placed a particular praise on Karl Hein. After the game, the Real Madrid president praised Valladolid for their transfer business and tipped the Arsenal star as having the right profile for a great goalkeeper.
In his own words, Florentino Perez said: “[Karl Hein] has a good build, a very good goalkeeper.”
Karl Hein had a great pre-season with Arsenal. Therefore, he probably felt hard-done-by to be sent out on loan. However, with David Raya asserting himself as the number one option for Arsenal and Aaron Ramsdale's future uncertain, Hein would struggle to make it into the Arsenal first-team.
Arsenal have begun the 2024/25 season where they left off, defensively strong. In fact, David Raya has kept two clean sheets in the opening two games. This is a record which is only met by Liverpool veteran Allison Becker. So, Raya could certainly win the Golden Glove yet again this season.
Hopefully, the loan move only continues to provide prosperity for Karl Hein. He is clearly a talented individual, being a respected Estonian international already in his career.
