The first derby day of the season is upon us, with Arsenal unusually doing the early-season travelling down Seven Sisters Road to face Tottenham.

The North London Derby is an occasion not to be missed, and the Gunners have enjoyed these duels in recent times. Ange Postecoglou's Spurs were handed the ultimate opportunity to scupper their bitterest rivals' title charge down the stretch last season but found themselves 3-0 down at half-time before Arsenal eventually clung on for a 3-2 win.

Drama and chaos have been primary themes of recent encounters, although a hint of sizzle has been taken out of this fixture given how early it's arriving in the season. Still, north London bragging rights are up for grabs this weekend.

Arsenal are unbeaten through three games to start the new season, while Spurs have impressed in spurts without much reward. They've claimed four points thus far, with their dominance of the ball being undermined by their toothlessness in the final third.

So, without further ado, join us for our North London Derby preview, which features key information such as team news, predicted lineups, guidance on how to watch Tottenham vs Arsenal on TV and an inevitably correct score prediction.

Dominic Solanke missed Tottenham's defeat at Newcastle before the break, and his status for Sunday's derby remains in doubt. If he isn't fit to start, Son Heung-min will likely lead the hosts' line.

Micky van de Ven was also absent at St. James' Park, but there's hope within the Lilywhite fanbase that the Dutchman will be available this weekend.

Yves Bissouma picked up a knock on international duty and is a fresh doubt, with Rodrigo Bentancur also being charged by FA ahead of the game. Whether he's suspended for the derby remains to be seen, however.

Predicted Tottenham lineup vs Arsenal: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Bissouma, Sarr, Maddison; Kulusevski, Son, Odobert.

    Well, where do we start?

We know that Mikel Arteta will be without the suspended Declan Rice on Sunday, while Mikel Merino is out until October with a shoulder injury. Martin Odegaard also won't feature after sustaining an ankle injury on international duty.

Riccardo Calafiori returned to London Colney over the break after picking up a calf issue, but the Italian could feature in the derby. Jurrien Timber is the favourite to start at left-back, with Jorginho set to partner Thomas Partey in midfield. Gabriel Jesus is expected to make his comeback after missing the previous two games with a groin injury.

Takehiro Tomiyasu is closing in on a return, but he's unlikely to make Sunday's matchday squad. Kieran Tierney remains out of action.

Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Tottenham: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber; Partey, Jorginho, Havertz; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.

    Tottenham vs Arsenal Score Prediction

Given Arteta's tendency to adapt and Ange's intent on playing one way, we can expect a similar dynamic to April's derby this weekend. The visitors will be happy playing without the ball; drifting between a high bess and a compact and narrow mid-block which stifled Spurs last time out.

The Gunners have the tools to hurt Tottenham in transition, and the absence of key players should convince Arteta that the plan which paid dividends on their last visit to N17 is the way to go on Sunday.

If the visitors keep things simple tactically, they should have too much for Spurs despite their midfield absences. It will be mightily tight, though, and the presence of Solanke could tilt the tie in the hosts' favour.

    Prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Arsenal
