The outcome of this Premier League season is still yet to be decided but one thing which looks increasingly likely is that Aston Villa will finish in the top four. It is a testament to Unai Emery's work that he has took charge at Villa Park and has them competing for a European trophy this season and next time out, they are likely to be amongst Europe's best teams in the Champions League.

Therefore, Aston Villa will be spoken about highly when it comes to transfer targets in the summer. The influx of revenue they could receive from qualifying for the Champions League means they will have an amibitous eye on the summer to bring in some top quality talents.

Unai Emery confident Aston Villa will sign Arsenal transfer target

Already, former Arsenal boss Unai Emery is prepared to lock horns with current Arsenal boss in the summer transfer window.

It is believed that both Arsenal and Aston Villa will compete for the signing of Michael Olise. The versatile Crystal Palace star player is linked with a move away from Selhurst Park this summer, with Arsenal, Aston Villa and Manchester United interested in signing him.

According to a report by Football Transfers, Unai Emery and Aston Villa are confident they can beat Arsenal and Manchester United to the signing of Michael Olise. Furthermore, it is claimed that Olise would like to play in the Champions League next campaign, with a greater emphasis on first-team football as opposed to rotting away on the bench.

Needless to say, Aston Villa are able to offer greater playing time to Michael Olise than the other Champions League side Arsenal. Not only could he play Champions League football in the West Midlands but under Unai Emery, he could develop into a key player.

For Arsenal, Olise would be a luxury signing. It must be said that their attention will be on signing David Raya permanently, as well as signing a centre forward. After all, these are the positions of most concern to Mikel Arteta.

There aren't many players who could come to Arsenal and push Bukayo Saka out of the starting lineup. After all, there is a reason why the Englishman has made the most appearances out of any player under Mikel Arteta. Michael Olise is not one of those players who could overtake Saka in the hierarchy, so he would act as a rotational player at the Emirates Stadium.
