Over the last few days, a video of Conor McGregor play-fighting with Bukayo Saka after Arsenal beat PSG has been doing the rounds on social media.

Bukayo Saka has started the season splendidly. As Arsenal's most prized asset and biggest attacking threat, this is no surprise. In nine games, Bukayo Saka has scored two goals and provided five assists.

In the last game against PSG, Bukayo Saka scored an important free-kick which set Arsenal at 2-0. This is the scoreline which remained, with Bukayo Saka having an imprint on the match.

It is not uncommon for Arsenal to invite celebrities or influencers to attend the Emirates Stadium. This was not the case in midweek, as Conor McGregor attended and even met with Bukayo Saka, through his own accord.

How Conor McGregor of all people could have injured Bukayo Saka

After the match, Conor McGregor entered the Emirates Stadium pitch. In a video circulating social media, he was play-fighting with Bukayo Saka. The Arsenal attacker was laughing during the interaction. He was heard saying "You're strong. Be careful, man!"

According to the Irish Mirror, Conor McGregor was not invited by Arsenal. He attended the match through a third party and entered the pitch himself after the match.

The Irish outlet even claims that Conor McGregor was asked to leave the pitch after just a few minutes. They take a very anti-McGregor position, which appears increasingly common in his home country.

Bukayo Saka is the first person to involve himself in social circles. He is polite and seemingly a joy to be around. However, it must be said that this interaction seemed uncomfortable. Not hostile, just uncomfortable.

Footballers are not trained to the same level as mixed martial arts. While they are both athletes, footballers cannot deal with grapples or kicks as much as trained fighters can.

Thankfully, Bukayo Saka came away from the interaction unharmed. It could've looked ugly if he became injured, alongside fellow star player Martin Odegaard.
