West Ham 0-6 Arsenal: Player ratings as Gunners batter woeful Hammers
- Arsenal ran riot at the London Stadium to keep pace with league leaders
- Gunners scored three times in space of six first-half minutes just before half-time
- Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice scored in the second half
Arsenal secured their fourth-straight win in remarkable style as they put six past a woeful West Ham side on Sunday afternoon.
The visitors were in a vengeful mood having twice lost to David Moyes' reactive Hammers this season, and it initially appeared that they'd endure yet another frustrating afternoon in east London.
However, there was little doubt about the outcome of Sunday's bout after William Saliba nodded home Declan Rice's inswinging corner 32 minutes. Arsenal then smelt blood against the out-of-form hosts, who completely collapsed before the break.
The rampant Gunners scored three times in the space of six minutes at the end of the opening period to enter half-time with an imperious 4-0 advantage.
To the surprise of absolutely no one, there was no miraculous resurgence from the Hammers after half-time as Arsenal continued to purr. Bukayo Saka netted his second with worrying ease before former Hammer ensured this was the most miserable of Sundays for the Irons as he crashed home the visitors' sixth with a stunning effort.
The size of Arsenal's advantage meant Ethan Nwaneri got another Premier League run out, with the Gunners having some mercy on their pitiful hosts.
West Ham 0-6 Arsenal player ratings
Here are the Arsenal player ratings from their 6-0 beatdown of West Ham.
Goalkeeper & Defenders
David Raya (GK) - 7/10 - Proactive again and faultless when claiming the high ball. Quiet outing from a shot-stopping perspective.
Ben White (RB) - 7/10 - Ben Johnson didn't exactly give White much to think about. Another sturdy showing from the full-back.
William Saliba (CB) - 7.5/10 - Saliba got the ball rolling by heading home Rice's corner and had little to deal with defensively.
Gabriel (CB) - 7.5/10 - The Gunners defender celebrated his 150th appearance for the club with his fourth Premier League goal of the campaign.
Jakub Kiwior (LB) - 7.5/10 - Thought he performed pretty well, as he did off the bench last weekend. Secure against Mohammed Kudus and offered the odd moment of quality from crossing situations.
