Bukayo Saka (RW) - 8.5/10 - Missed a hatful of chances early on, but made up for it by converting from the spot having missed from 12 yards at the London Stadium last season. Saka then scored an emphatic second after half-time before he was withdrawn.

Kai Havertz (ST) - 7/10 - Bright when given space and won his fair share of aerial duels. Canny without possession.

Leandro Trossard (ST) - 9/10 - Trossard produced his best 45 minutes since Craven Cottage last season in the first half on Sunday. The Belgian scored a delightful fourth and seemed to relish the creative freedom he received from playing in a withdrawn forward role.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) - 6/10 - Probably the poorest of those going forward. Didn't see much of the ball with Saka enjoying plenty of the action, with Martinelli failing to connect the dots when he got into promising positions.

Substitutes

  • Mohamed Elneny - 6/10
  • Reiss Nelson - 5/10
  • Eddie Nketiah - 6/10
  • Ethan Nwaneri - 6.5/10
  • Cedric - 6/10
